PSS Doubles Learning Packet Supply to 3,000 for Wednesday Grab and Learn

SAIPAN – The CNMI Public School System will distribute 3,000 enrichment learning packets at 12 Grab and Learn sites across Saipan, Tinian and Rota on Wednesday, May 20, from 9 a.m. to noon, the agency announced.

The Wednesday distribution scales up significantly from last week’s first round, when PSS distributed more than 1,700 packets. The agency cited strong community response as the reason for nearly doubling the supply.

Packets are organized into four grade bands, kindergarten through second grade, third through fifth, sixth through eighth, and ninth through 12th. Each packet contains math, reading and social emotional learning activities, according to the agency.

Students who completed last week’s learning packets may submit them at any Grab and Learn site to receive a small incentive while supplies last, PSS said.

On Saipan, distribution sites include Tanapag Middle School, Garapan Elementary School, Kagman Elementary School, Oleai Elementary School, Dandan Middle School, Saipan Southern High School, CK Head Start and Francisco M. Sablan Middle School. Tinian sites are Tinian Elementary School and the combined Tinian Middle and High School. On Rota, packets will be available at Sinapalo Elementary School and Dr. Rita H. Inos Jr./Sr. High School.

The Grab and Learn distribution is part of ongoing PSS efforts to support students and families with meaningful learning opportunities while the school system continues to manage operations during the post-Sinlaku recovery.
