SAIPAN – The CNMI Voluntary Organizations Active in Disaster network has activated a Super Typhoon Sinlaku relief helpline available daily from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., the coalition said.
Residents can call 670-588-5342 or 670-588-7381 for support, distribution updates, home delivery requests or any questions related to ongoing Sinlaku relief efforts. The helpline operates seven days a week.
CNMI VOAD is the local chapter of National VOAD, a coalition that coordinates voluntary disaster-response organizations to streamline relief delivery and avoid duplication across agencies. Members typically include faith-based groups, nonprofits and community organizations working alongside government recovery operations.
The helpline rolls out as the Sinlaku recovery enters its 37th day. Federal disaster aid approved for CNMI survivors has now reached $9.6 million across 9,405 FEMA applications received, with the deadline to apply for FEMA Individual Assistance set for June 22.
