SAIPAN — The family of the late Gov. Arnold I. Palacios is inviting the community to join them in commemorating the first anniversary of his passing, with a series of masses this month at Kristo Rai Church leading to the anniversary on July 23.
Palacios, who served as governor of the Commonwealth, died July 23, 2025, at age 69. His family said the commemoration will honor his life, legacy and memory through prayer and reflection.
Masses begin Wednesday, July 15, at 6 p.m. at Kristo Rai Church and continue daily at 6 a.m., according to the family’s announcement. Evening masses will be offered Wednesday, July 15 and July 22, at 6 p.m., and Saturday, July 18, at 5 p.m.
On Thursday, July 23, the Holy Rosary will be prayed at 5:30 p.m., followed by the Celebration of the Holy Mass and dinner in the social hall immediately after.
“With heartfelt gratitude, we thank you for your prayers, presence and continued support,” the family said in the announcement, signed by his wife Wella, their children, grandchildren and families.
