SAIPAN – The Commonwealth Ports Authority Board of Directors will hold its regular meeting Thursday at 2 p.m. in the CPA Meeting Room on the first floor of the Francisco C. Ada/Saipan International Airport, with a proposed fiscal year 2027 budget and a rate reduction resolution among the items up for consideration.
The Financial Affairs Committee is scheduled to report on the proposed FY2027 budget and on Board Resolution 26-02, titled the FY 2027 Rate Reduction Program. The notice does not say which fees or rates the program would reduce, by how much or for whom.
Several items carry over from the board’s July 30 meeting and its Aug. 7 continuation, including a power purchase agreement, the Suwaso Corporation lease, pending appeals and performance evaluations for the comptroller and the executive director. Also under old business are proposed revisions to the authority’s personnel rules covering typhoon pay provisions.
The one item listed under new business is an orientation from the Federal Aviation Administration.
The board may go into executive session on the two performance evaluations, the power purchase agreement and the Suwaso lease.
