SAIPAN — Today, June 1, is the last day for households with significant home damage to apply for financial assistance from the American Red Cross, the organization said.
Residents whose homes were affected and who have not yet applied should visit a service delivery site or the Red Cross office today, the Red Cross said, urging applicants not to wait even if they are missing documents.
Applications can be submitted before all paperwork is secured, the organization said, and Red Cross caseworkers will continue working with applicants after the deadline to help complete any missing documentation.
Residents who do not have documents to verify their address can request a letter of address verification from their Mayor’s Office, the Red Cross said.
Applicants can apply or get help at the American Red Cross CNMI Chapter on Airport Road, Saipan, open 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. The chapter can be reached at (670) 234-3459.
