SAIPAN — Juan Santos Reyes, lovingly known as “JuanTina,” died Tuesday, Aug. 11, 2026, on his 72nd birthday. He was born Aug. 11, 1954.
He is survived by his wife, Florentina Mendiola Reyes; his children Arlene Marie, Justin, James, Juan Jr., Jason and Jordan and their families; his siblings, in-laws and their families; his godchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Janice Mendiola Reyes, and his parents, Esteban A. and Carmen S. Reyes.
Masses of intention are being offered for the repose of his soul at St. Jude Parish from Aug. 12 through Aug. 28 at 6 p.m., and at 10 a.m. on Sundays, and at Mount Carmel Cathedral at 6 a.m., and at 9 a.m. on Sundays.
Last respects will be held Thursday, Aug. 20. His remains will be escorted from Cabrera’s Funeral Home to Our Lady of Mount Carmel Cathedral at 7:30 a.m., where a Responso Service will commence upon arrival, followed by viewing and last respects. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m., followed immediately by the Rite of Committal at Chalan Kanoa Cemetery, where he will be laid to rest.
