SAIPAN – The Northern Marianas Technical Institute will reopen its campus to the public and resume classes on Monday, June 29, NMTECH said in an announcement, laying out a week-by-week restoration schedule that runs from May 26 through campus reopening.
From Tuesday, May 26 through Friday, June 18, NMTECH’s office will operate on adjusted hours of 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. as restoration work continues, NMTECH said.
The schedule sets specific restoration targets for each week. Crews aim to finish the core classroom, the CEO’s office, painting, and trim boards during the week of May 26 to 29, with administrative offices set up at the Conference Room on Tuesday, NMTECH said. The following week, June 1 to 4, will focus on completing finishings on all identified classrooms and spaces.
Restoration work on office spaces is scheduled to begin the week of June 8 to 12 and continue through June 15 to 18, pending the availability of materials on island, NMTECH said.
Regular operational hours of 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. resume the week of June 22 to 26, with crews completing a full campus cleanup of interior and exterior spaces in preparation for the June 29 reopening, NMTECH said.
NMTECH also reminded the public that austerity Fridays will continue every other Friday on June 5, June 19, July 17, and July 31.
