SAIPAN — With the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers wrapping up its temporary roofing mission in the Marianas, residents who run into problems with their temporary roof now have a clear place to turn for help.
The Army Corps completed its Saipan roofing mission and began demobilizing contractors on June 22, the agency told NMI News Service in response to an inquiry. Saipan residents who have issues with their temporary roof installation should now contact their local mayor’s office for assistance.
On Tinian, the Army Corps STRONG Roof Hotline remains open until the close of business Thursday, June 25. Residents can reach it at 670-588-9851.
The temporary roofing program was part of the federal recovery effort following Super Typhoon Sinlaku, which struck the Marianas in April.
