Docomo Pacific, Bridge Capital Back 80th Liberation Day Celebration

SAIPAN — The 2026 Liberation Day Committee is recognizing Docomo Pacific and Bridge Capital LLC for their support of the 80th CNMI Liberation Day Celebration, set for Friday and Saturday, Aug. 21 and 22, at the Civic Center Grounds in Susupe.

Docomo Pacific contributed $2,000 as a Bronze Sponsor of this year’s festivities. Brent Deleon Guerrero, Senior Brand Manager at Docomo, said the celebration provides an important opportunity for the community to come together after facing recent challenges.

“This is one way for us to all come together, show our better together spirit, and enjoy one another’s company and be grateful for what we have today and the following years moving forward,” Deleon Guerrero said.

The committee also recognized Bridge Capital LLC for its $1,000 donation. Julie Duenas, Bridge Capital Office Manager, said the event gives the community something positive to anticipate.

“I’m really excited that we’re pushing forward with the Liberation. This gives the community something to look forward to, especially in, you know, these tough times that we’re going through,” Duenas said. “And Bridge Capital is very excited to be a part of that.”

Guided by this year’s theme, “Together, We Stand. Together, We Rise,” festival grounds will be open from noon to 10 p.m. Friday and from 8 a.m. to 11 p.m. Saturday. The celebration officially begins with an opening ceremony Friday at 4 p.m., followed by cultural performances and local entertainment.

The Liberation Day Parade steps off Saturday at 10 a.m., proceeding along Quarter Master Road and concluding at the Civic Center festival grounds. Festivalgoers can enjoy family-friendly activities, community exhibits and a wide variety of food and retail vendors across both days, with the festivities expected to conclude Saturday evening with a fireworks display.

The committee thanked all sponsors and volunteers helping make the 80th anniversary celebration possible.
