CUC Board Calls Special Meeting on Water Meters, Financial Recovery

SAIPAN — The Commonwealth Utilities Corporation Board of Directors will hold a special meeting Thursday to take up a water meter replacement procurement for the three main islands and to review the utility’s financial condition and recovery status.

The meeting is set for 9:30 a.m. Thursday, June 25, in the CUC Conference Room, Room 17, on the third floor of the Joeten Dandan Building, according to a public notice signed by Board Chairman Allen M. Perez.

Under procurement matters, the board will consider a water meter replacement for Saipan, Tinian and Rota. The agenda also lists an update on CUC’s financial condition and recovery status, the executive director’s report, and an executive session.

The board may vote in executive session to consult with legal counsel on matters deemed privileged and confidential, as allowed under the Open Government Act.

Members of the public may attend and submit written and oral testimony. Public comments are limited to 30 minutes total, with each speaker allowed three minutes.
