SAIPAN — Criminal Investigation Bureau officers have arrested Allan Dela Rosa on an outstanding warrant for theft, theft of a vehicle and illegal possession, the Department of Public Safety announced Friday.
Judge Kenneth L. Govendo issued the arrest warrant on June 18 with bail set at $25,000. The warrant stems from an incident reported at Grace Christian Academy.
According to the release, CIB received information that Dela Rosa was located at an abandoned building, formerly the Vestcor Apartments, in Room 15B. Officers responded and took Dela Rosa into custody without incident four minutes later.
Dela Rosa was transported to the Department of Corrections for booking and detention. He remains in custody pending further court proceedings.
DPS thanked the community for information that assisted in locating the suspect and said the case remains under investigation.
