HAGÃ…TÑA, Guam — Bank of Guam has renewed its support of the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Guam & CNMI with a $15,000 donation, returning as a Diamond Sponsor of the foundation’s annual Black Ties and Tennies Gala.
The bank said the commitment reflects a relationship built over many years, from the Make-A-Wish Gala to the Marianas Classic, helping raise funds and awareness that turn wishes into reality for children facing critical illnesses across the Marianas.
“For a child facing a critical illness, a wish can bring hope when it is needed most,” said Eric Tydingco, president and chief executive officer of Make-A-Wish Guam & CNMI. “Bank of Guam’s generosity will help us give more children and their families something joyful to look forward to and a memory that stays with them long after the wish comes true.”
“As the People’s Bank, we believe in showing up with heart, especially when it matters most,” said Joaquin P.L.G. Cook, president and chief executive officer of Bank of Guam. “Over the years, we’ve witnessed the power that a single wish can have during the most difficult times — igniting hope and joy into the lives of so many of our kids and their families. It’s because of this that we are so honored to be part of the incredible work the Make-A-Wish Foundation does for our island families.”
The check was presented by Cook and Lesley-Anne Leon Guerrero, the bank’s senior vice president and chief experience officer, who also serves as treasurer of the Make-A-Wish Guam & CNMI board of directors, to Tydingco.
