Lions Club Distributes 200 Relief Packages to Saipan Families Saturday Morning

SAIPAN — Members of the Lions Club of Saipan assembled and distributed 200 relief packages to community members Saturday morning as part of ongoing recovery efforts following Super Typhoon Sinlaku.

Each package included 10 pounds of rice, one case of water, four butane canisters, two cans of sardines, two cans of luncheon meat and two packs of soba noodles — providing families with essential food and cooking supplies during the extended power and water outage.

Dozens of Lions Club members in their signature yellow shirts were on hand to load and distribute the packages, which were assembled and deployed from vehicles at a local field.
