Emon Masonic Lodge to Distribute 1,000 Free Meals at Garapan Fishing Base Saturday

SAIPAN – Emon Masonic Lodge No. 179 will distribute 1,000 free meals to community members at the Garapan Fishing Base on Saturday, May 16, in support of families recovering from Super Typhoon Sinlaku.

The drive-through distribution begins at 4 p.m. The Lodge said there is no walk-in line. Meals and water bottles will be provided to everyone in the car, with no limit on the number of meals per vehicle, but only to those physically present.

Drivers are asked to enter via Beach Road and follow signage directing entrance and exit lanes through the Garapan Fishing Base lot. The distribution site is at the back of the lot, with exit lanes onto Garapan Public Market.

The event is being organized in partnership with Guam Masons, Order of the Eastern Star Guam, the Lady Diann Torres Foundation, Zori Talks and SuperTech, Inc. Meals are being prepared by Puerto Rico Bento Restaurant and Bourbon Street Bar and Cafe.

“We are united in this journey, as one community devoted to spreading love, hope and kindness with compassion and understanding,” the Lodge said in its announcement.

Emon Masonic Lodge said the distribution was created to help neighbors recover from the challenges brought by the storm, and that the Lodge and its partners stand with the community as it rebuilds and heals.
