NEW LONDON, Conn. – Four CNMI residents were commissioned as U.S. Coast Guard ensigns at the U.S. Coast Guard Academy on May 20, joining the next generation of officers in the sea service.
The new ensigns are Noah Peter Fleming Mesa, Kyle Peter Tanate San Nicolas, Puti’on Primitiva Palacios Camacho and Seiji Maga’låhi S. Gonzales.
They were joined at the ceremony by Cmdr. Christine Torres Igisomar, USCGA Class of 2008, and Lt. j.g. Genzo Matua S. Gonzales, USCGA Class of 2024, whose presence underscored the multi-generational thread of Marianas service at the academy. Also pictured with the new graduates were 2/C Cadets Kiyokazu Må’gas S. Gonzales and Jinnosuke Suzuki, and U.S. Navy Lt. Cmdr. Paul A. Manglona, Jr.
