CHCC Confirms Recovered Remains Identified as Chet R. Brochon

SAIPAN — The Commonwealth Healthcare Corporation confirmed Thursday that the recovered remains connected to the missing cargo vessel Mariana have been identified as Chet R. Brochon.

Following the autopsy examination, the Coroner obtained fingerprints that were submitted for analysis and confirmation through an FBI laboratory, CHCC said. Notification has been made to the next of kin.

“We offer our heartfelt condolences to the family, loved ones, and all those affected by this loss,” CHCC said.

CHCC said it will continue to work with the family to provide support, guidance and assistance with arrangements for the respectful return of the remains to Guam.

“We recognize the impact this situation has had across our community, especially as many continue to recover from the effects of Super Typhoon Sinlaku,” CHCC said. “CHCC appreciates the public’s understanding and patience as we prioritize compassion and respect in every step.”
