SAIPAN — The Public School System Child Nutrition Program will resume curbside grab-and-go breakfast meals, lunch meals and snacks on PSS austerity days beginning Monday, Aug. 24, the school system announced, with distribution running 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. while supplies last.

SAIPAN — Tropical Storm Saudel accelerated to 16 mph on a northwest track overnight, and the Joint Typhoon Warning Center said in its 7 a.m. Thursday warning that a period of rapid intensification is forecast to begin this afternoon and run through Friday, carrying the storm to typhoon strength as it approaches the Marianas.
