SAIPAN — Kwang Joo “Tommy” Kim, Vice President of S.A.I. Leisure Group, was officially sworn in Wednesday as the newest member of the Marianas Visitors Authority Board of Directors.
Kim took the oath at the MVA Board of Directors meeting in Saipan on May 27, joining the Board as it advanced tourism reboot efforts ahead of the airport’s scheduled return to night operations on June 20.
The Board on Wednesday also reaffirmed participation in Brand USA sales missions in Japan and Korea in July, JATA Tourism Expo 2026 in Tokyo in September, and authorized management to begin discussions with the Department of Public Lands on a potential relocation of MVA headquarters to the historic Japanese Lighthouse property on Navy Hill.
