SAIPAN – Students and faculty from Saipan International School greeted Guam Power Authority crews this week with handmade thank-you banners and bottles of water as the crews worked on power restoration in As Lito.
GPA shared the moment on social media, noting its crews were also performing restoration work in Dandan in support of ongoing CNMI post-typhoon recovery efforts.
“The crews were given bottles of water and the students displayed messages of gratitude for the crews’ hard work in restoring power,” GPA said. “Thank you team Geckos for your kind words and hospitality.”
GPA crews have been working alongside Commonwealth Utilities Corporation line crews on Saipan since the days following Super Typhoon Sinlaku, assisting primarily on the Kiya 1 and Kiya 2 feeders that serve the southern part of the island.
