SAIPAN — The CNMI Senate Standing Committee on Fiscal Affairs will convene Thursday, May 14 at 10 a.m. to begin its review of the proposed Fiscal Year 2027 budget for the Commonwealth Government and its related agencies, the office of committee chairman Senator Jude U. Hofschneider announced.
The meeting will be held in the Senate Chamber of the Honorable Vice Speaker Jesus P. Mafnas Memorial Building on Capitol Hill.
The committee’s review covers Governor’s Message No. 24-261, the Apatang administration’s proposed FY27 budget. Invited testimony will come from the Secretary of Finance and a Special Assistant from the Office of Management and Budget.
Members of the public may submit written testimony to the Office of Senator Hofschneider, located in the Mafnas Memorial Building on Capitol Hill, before the committee convenes. Oral testimony may also be presented during the meeting.
