SAIPAN – Sen. Francisco Q. Cruz, chairman of the Senate Committee on Executive Appointments and Government Investigations, will convene back-to-back confirmation hearings Thursday on three of Gov. David M. Apatang’s gubernatorial nominees to the CNMI Scholarship Board of Directors and the Northern Marianas College Board of Regents.
Both hearings will be held at the Senate Chamber on Capitol Hill, Saipan, and are open to the public.
At 9 a.m., the committee will hear nominees Donna M. Flores and Monique B. Sablan, both appointed to the CNMI Scholarship Board of Directors. At 1 p.m., the committee will hear Jesse M. Tudela, appointed to the NMC Board of Regents.
Witnesses requested to be present for the Scholarship Board hearing include a representative from the Governor’s Office, CSO Administrator Mildred S. Camacho, and CNMI Scholarship Board members. Witnesses for the NMC Board of Regents hearing include a representative from the Governor’s Office, NMC President Dr. Galvin Deleon Guerrero, and NMC Board of Regents members. All private citizens are welcome.
