Agag and Capitol Hill Tank Service Areas Leading Water Restoration; Most of Saipan Still Without Service

SAIPAN — CUC released a Sunday afternoon snapshot of water restoration progress across Saipan’s eight tank service areas, showing two areas at significant capacity while the remaining six remain at critically low levels.

The Agag Tank Service Area leads recovery at 80% online, serving approximately 232 customers. Capitol Hill TSA is at 75%, reaching about 327 customers. All water lift stations across the island are powered by backup generators.

The remaining six service areas are largely without water service. Calhoun TSA is at 15% with about 71 customers receiving water. Rapugao TSA is at 10% with about 16 customers. Isley TSA is at 10% with approximately 192 customers, and Gualo Rai TSA is at 10% with about 15 customers. San Vicente and Papago TSAs are each at only 5%, reaching approximately 50 and 8 customers respectively.

The Precautionary Boil Water Notice remains in effect across all areas. All water must be brought to a rolling boil for at least three minutes before use. For more information, call CUC at 670-664-4282.
