SAIPAN — Saipan Little League will host a two-day girls fastpitch softball clinic on July 18 and 19, with organizers also calling on parents and community members to volunteer as the league looks to expand.
The clinic, run by the league’s Girls With Game program, takes place from 9 a.m. to noon both days. Players are asked to bring a glove and a water bottle.
The league said it is heading into its second season for the Majors girls fastpitch division and is hoping to open Juniors and Seniors divisions as well. If those divisions open, the league said it will need more coaching staff and is asking families to spread the word.
Organizers said the league needs all the help it can get to run smoothly and are encouraging parents to volunteer, whether with field preparation, as statisticians or officiating.
