SAIPAN — The CNMI Public School System Child Nutrition Program will begin distributing grab-and-go meals to students across all three islands starting Monday, May 4, as schools remain closed due to damage from Super Typhoon Sinlaku.
Meals will be available Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. while supplies last. Breakfast and lunch will be bundled together in a single set. No after-school snacks will be provided.
Students must present a current school year student ID to receive a meal. Each ID is eligible for one meal set. Families with multiple IDs may receive one set per valid ID presented. Vehicles without student IDs will be limited to two meal sets. Students from private schools and Head Start and Early Head Start programs are also eligible.
On Saipan, distribution sites include Tanapag Middle School, Garapan Elementary School, Oleai Elementary School, Kagman Elementary School, Dandan Middle School, Chalan Kanoa Head Start, FMS Middle School and Saipan Southern High School. On Tinian, meals will be available at Tinian Elementary School. On Rota, sites include Sinapalo Elementary School and Dr. Rita H. Inos Jr/Sr High.
