SAIPAN – Project Buddy Check 670 will host a Memorial Day motorcade Monday morning, starting at Airport Field and ending at the CNMI Veterans Cemetery in Marpi, the veterans organization announced.
The motorcade is scheduled to depart Airport Field at 9:30 a.m. on Monday, May 25, and is estimated to conclude between 10:15 and 10:30 a.m. Upon arrival at the cemetery, organizers will conduct a brief speech and photo opportunity before dismissing participants.
The route will run from Airport Field through COP and Kobler down to San Antonio, then continue along Beach Road to Garapan. From American Memorial Park, the motorcade will continue along Middle Road through Puerto Rico before reaching the Veterans Cemetery.
The event honors service members who gave their lives in defense of the nation.
Project Buddy Check 670 said all participating drivers must be legally licensed and insured, and participants acknowledge that they are solely responsible for the safe and legal operation of their vehicles. The organization said it would not be held liable for any actions, accidents, or legal consequences arising from individual driver behavior during the motorcade.
The public is welcome along the route.
Memorial Day is a federal holiday observed annually on the last Monday in May, honoring U.S. military personnel who died while serving in the armed forces.
