NMHC Deferring All Home Loan Payments for Three Months Following Typhoon Sinlaku

SAIPAN — The Northern Marianas Housing Corporation will defer all home loan payments for three months due to the economic hardships caused by Super Typhoon Sinlaku, Corporate Director Zenie P. Mafnas announced Wednesday.

The deferment period runs from May 1 through July 31, 2026. Interest will not accrue during the three-month period. Beginning August 1, regular monthly payments will resume, and three months will be added to the maturity of each loan.

The deferment is automatic and applies to all NMHC home loan borrowers. Borrowers who do not wish to participate must submit an official cancellation notice to NMHC.
