SAIPAN — Northern Marianas College is encouraging students not to let financial barriers stand in the way of their education, noting that up to $3,697 in Federal Pell Grant funding is available for the Summer 2026 semester. The deadline to file the Free Application for Federal Student Aid is June 30.
The college said the summer aid deadline applies to both new and ongoing students, and that those who have not yet completed their 2025-2026 FAFSA should apply as soon as possible to be considered for available federal aid. The Federal Student Aid program, administered by the U.S. Department of Education, provides grants, loans and work-study opportunities to help make college more affordable.
Students can submit the FAFSA online at fafsa.gov using NMC’s Federal School Code, 015746. To verify eligibility for Pell Grants and other aid, students may contact the NMC Financial Aid Office at fao@marianas.edu or by phone at (670) 237-6791. The office offers in-person assistance Monday through Thursday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The college noted it is continuing to navigate Super Typhoon Sinlaku recovery activities. NMC offers degree and certificate programs ranging from bachelor’s degrees in education and business management to associate degrees in fields including nursing, agriculture, natural resource management, criminal justice and fire science technology.
The admissions deadline to apply for the Summer 2026 semester is June 12, and classes begin June 22. A complete list of courses is available at www.marianas.edu, and prospective students can reach the Office of Admissions and Records at (670) 237-6769 or oar@marianas.edu.
