SAIPAN — Northern Marianas College has postponed its 2026 Commencement Exercises, originally scheduled for May 22, citing the widespread impact of Typhoon Sinlaku and the ongoing recovery effort.
NMC said the safety of graduates, their families, faculty and staff remains the college’s highest priority. The college said it is conducting a comprehensive assessment of available venues, times and dates to reschedule the ceremony and is exploring all options, including alternative sites, to accommodate the graduating class.
“Class of 2026 graduates receive the celebration they have earned in a safe and accessible environment at a later, more appropriate date,” NMC said.
Additional details and FAQs have been sent by official NMC email to graduating students. The college said the email includes contact information for students with questions. Updates will be shared as they become available. Students may also reach NMC at marianas.edu or through WhatsApp at whatsapp.marianas.edu.
