Survivor Recovery Centers on Saipan, Tinian closed Saturday for Saudel monitoring

SAIPAN — The Survivor Recovery Centers on Saipan and Tinian will be closed Saturday, Aug. 22, to allow for weather monitoring and preparedness activities as Tropical Storm Saudel passes through the Marianas, the CNMI Joint Information Center announced Thursday.

Saudel is not expected to directly impact Saipan, Tinian or Rota, the JIC said.

The centers, which serve residents recovering from Typhoon Bavi, are scheduled to reopen Tuesday, Aug. 25, during regular operating hours.
