HAGÅTÑA, Guam — The Guam Women’s Chamber of Commerce will host a Legislative Forum on Saturday, June 27, putting first-time candidates for Guam’s 39th Legislature in the spotlight as part of its Members in Action series.
The forum runs from 1 to 3:30 p.m. at the Guam Community College Multi-Purpose Auditorium. The session gives newcomers the floor to introduce themselves and share their platforms, the chamber said. Incumbent and former senators have been invited to attend, but the program is structured to give first-time candidates a dedicated opportunity to connect with voters.
The format features candidate introductions, a Q&A session and what the chamber calls Civic Connection Rounds, an interactive format in which attendees can speak directly with candidates at their tables about the issues most important to the community.
Republican candidates confirmed to attend include Joseph Arriola, Gregorio Calvo, Alexander Duenas, Matteo Mortera, Jonathan Savares and Raffaele Sgambelluri.
Democratic candidates confirmed to attend include Fred Bordallo Jr., David Duenas, Lillian Guerrero, Sarah Nededog, Kallen Perez, Donna Quinata, Angel Sablan, Anthony Taijeron, Joaquin Taitague and Gerald Yingling.
Admission is $20 for members and $30 for future members, with refreshments provided. The chamber said seating is limited and encouraged early registration at guamwomenschamber.com/events.
