MHS Calls on Alumni to Donate Caps and Gowns for Sinlaku-Affected Graduates

SAIPAN — The Marianas High School Student Council is calling on Mighty Dolphins alumni to donate their old caps and gowns to support graduating seniors affected by Super Typhoon Sinlaku.

The student-led drive asks alumni to drop off their used caps and gowns at the MHS Main Office Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.

“Your old cap and gown can become a symbol of strength for a graduating student in Sinlaku’s recovery journey,” the Student Council said in the call for donations. “Every donation helps inspire resilience, confidence, and a brighter tomorrow.”

The drive does not affect students who have already paid for their own caps and gowns, the Student Council said. Those students will still receive their ordered sets. The donation drive is intended to provide caps and gowns to fellow students in need.

“Pass it on. Pay it forward. Together, we rise. Together, we rebuild,” the Student Council said.

Marianas High School’s commencement ceremony is scheduled for June 2 at 4 p.m.
