SAIPAN — Lao Market on Saipan is offering charging ports for public use as residents continue to live without reliable power, according to a community submission shared with NMI News Service.
The shopkeeper at Lao Market said anyone who needs to charge an electronic device can do so at the store. “I want to help the community,” the shopkeeper said.
A photo from the store shows a power strip on the counter with charging adapters available for use.
Submitter Ha’ane Dionne forwarded the story to NMI News Service from a post on the Speak Up Taotao CNMI page that thanked Lao Market for its kindness and community spirit during ongoing recovery from Super Typhoon Sinlaku.
