HSEM Begins MRE, Water Distribution Wednesday in Koblerville

SAIPAN — The CNMI Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Management, working with nonprofit partners, will begin distributing Meals Ready-to-Eat and drinking water on Wednesday, with door-to-door delivery and a community point of distribution at the Koblerville Youth Center, the agency said.

Distribution will begin at 9 a.m. Wednesday, May 6, and will continue while supplies last.

Officials and volunteers will conduct door-to-door distribution within the community, and residents may also pick up supplies at the C-POD site at the Koblerville Youth Center, by vehicle or on foot. Distribution amounts may vary based on household size and supply availability, HSEM said.

The agency asked residents at the C-POD to follow all on-site instructions, keep vehicles in line at all times and use designated walking lanes where available.

HSEM also cautioned residents to remain alert for fraud, saying official personnel will not ask for payment or personal information.

Additional distribution sites will be announced in the coming days, the agency said.
