SAIPAN — Commonwealth Utilities Corporation Board Chairman Allen M. Perez has called a special board meeting for Thursday, April 23 at 9:30 a.m. to address the utility’s status in the wake of Typhoon Sinlaku.
The agenda covers restoration efforts, typhoon policy and billing regulations, and loan options. The meeting comes as CUC was already facing significant financial pressure before the storm, with the utility looking at fuel adjustment charge increases of two to three times the current rate to cover rising fuel costs.
The meeting will be held at the CUC Conference Room, Room 17, Third Floor of the Joeten Dandan Building and is open to the public.
