CUC Board to Weigh Fuel Charge, Rate Petition, Typhoon Policy Thursday

SAIPAN — The Commonwealth Utilities Corporation Board of Directors will hold its regular monthly meeting Thursday, May 14, with the fuel adjustment charge, status of CUC’s rate petition and typhoon policy among the items up for consideration.

The board will meet at 9:30 a.m. in the CUC Conference Room, Room 17, on the third floor of the Joeten Dandan Building. Public attendance is welcome, the board said in a notice signed by Chairman Allen M. Perez.

Under old business, the board will take up fuel adjustment charge reconciliation and a separate fuel adjustment charge item, net metering policy, government and CHCC receivables, an update on hotel power generation, the status of proposed bills, typhoon policy, personnel matters and consideration of bylaw Article V Section 1(D)(ii) and HR Rules 7.5 and 8.2.

Under new business, the board will consider the status of the CUC rate petition and procurement matters.

Management reports from the executive director, chief financial officer and legal counsel are also on the agenda, along with public comments and a possible executive session.

Public comments are limited to 30 minutes total and three minutes per speaker. Written testimony is also accepted.
