SAIPAN — The Commonwealth Office of Transit Authority will implement revised operational hours beginning June 1, saying full restoration of transit services is nearing completion as recovery from Super Typhoon Sinlaku continues.
COTA said it remains activated in support of CNMI Homeland Security and Emergency Management operations, including shelter assistance and other essential transportation services during the ongoing recovery.
The Call-A-Ride Saipan demand-responsive shared-ride service will resume normal operations, running Sunday through Saturday from 6:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. Fares return to normal pricing at $7 for general riders and $5 for discounted riders, a category that includes students, the elderly, people with disabilities and veterans.
The Transit CNMI Fixed Route Blue Line 1B will run Sunday through Saturday from 6:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Fares remain at $2 for general riders and $1 for discounted riders.
“We appreciate your patience and understanding as we continue working to restore all services,” COTA said in the notice, signed by Alfreda Camacho Maratita, Special Assistant for Public Transportation.
