Finance Department: Treasury Cashier now accepting Public Lands payments for Saipan, Tinian, and Rota

SAIPAN — The CNMI Department of Finance announced it is now accepting payments on behalf of the Department of Public Lands, as part of what it described as a government-wide effort to streamline financial operations, improve accountability, and meet fiscal management requirements.

Finance said the change is effective immediately. All DPL-related payments for Saipan, Tinian, and Rota must now be made at the CNMI Treasury Cashier within the Division of Revenue and Taxation, located on the first floor of the Joeten Dandan Commercial Building.

Finance said members of the public should first obtain a payment slip from DPL before going to the Treasury Cashier to complete the transaction.

The department also emphasized a change in how checks must be written: all checks must be made payable to “CNMI Treasury,” and checks made out to “Department of Public Lands” or “DPL” will no longer be accepted.
