SAIPAN – Mobile medical clinics operated by the Commonwealth Healthcare Corporation in partnership with Samaritan’s Purse and Team Rubicon have delivered 1,072 patient visits across the recovery zone as of Sunday, May 18, the corporation reported.
The visits include a mix of acute, chronic and pharmacy-related care, according to a CHCC update. Mobile teams addressed 91 injuries and 625 illnesses, along with 464 visits for chronic illness management. Patients also received 748 prescriptions or medication refills and 21 behavioral and mental health encounters.
CHCC said the mobile teams are committed to bringing quality care to the community as Saipan continues to recover from Super Typhoon Sinlaku, which made Category 4 landfall the weekend of April 12. Samaritan’s Purse is an international disaster relief organization, and Team Rubicon is a veteran-led disaster response group; both have deployed medical teams to Saipan as part of the post-Sinlaku response.
