MS Amadea to call at Saipan Tuesday during 146-day world cruise

Saipan — The cruise ship MS Amadea is scheduled to make a port call at the Port of Saipan on Tuesday, March 3, arriving at approximately 8 a.m. and departing at 2 p.m., according to the Marianas Visitors Authority. The vessel is carrying 404 guests and 318 crew members.

The Saipan stop is part of a 146-day world cruise operated by Phoenix Reisen, a Germany-based cruise line. The Amadea has been threading its way through Micronesia in the days leading up to its Marianas visit, calling at the Marshall Islands on February 24, Chuuk on February 28, and Guam on March 2 before arriving here.

The Amadea is a mid-sized vessel built in 1991, measuring approximately 192 meters in length and registering roughly 29,008 gross tons. Its maximum passenger capacity is listed at around 508, making the 404-guest count for this voyage a reflection of the ship’s booked load rather than a full sailing.

Following its Saipan call, the Amadea is scheduled to continue north to Tokyo, Japan, where it is expected to arrive on March 7.
