Saipan —Residents in the Sadog Tasi and Puerto Rico areas may notice odor Monday afternoon as the Commonwealth Utilities Corporation activates equipment at the Sadog Tasi Wastewater Treatment Plant.
CUC said the odor may be present on Monday, March 2, from 1 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. during startup of the plant’s digester aerator unit. The utility said the process is a normal operational procedure needed to support proper treatment plant operations.
While the smell may be unpleasant, CUC said it is expected to be temporary.
