SAIPAN — The Emergency Prescription Assistance Program activated following Super Typhoon Bavi will continue to be available until September 30, the Commonwealth Healthcare Corporation said in a public advisory.
EPAP is a federal program that helps uninsured people in disaster areas get medications and medical supplies at no cost. Those who qualify can receive a 30-day supply of prescription medications, vaccines, medical supplies such as insulin test strips, and certain medical equipment including wheelchairs, walkers and canes.
Pharmacies can provide a 30-day supply of most medications while EPAP is active, and refills continue for as long as the program remains active in the area, according to the advisory.
