SAIPAN — Line crews on Rota are focusing restoration work Tuesday on the Feeder 2 primary line through Sinapalo I, from the Paeda area to the Safeway Store, the Commonwealth Utilities Corporation said in its latest power service update.
The utility said crews installed four additional power poles in Songsong Village on Monday, bringing the total to 32 as the rebuild of the island’s distribution system continues.
Tuesday marks Day 44 of the recovery from Super Typhoon Bavi, which made a direct hit on Rota July 6 and tore down much of the island’s power infrastructure.
CUC said crews continue working to safely rebuild and restore the distribution system, and thanked the Rota community for its understanding and cooperation as work continues toward full restoration.
