SAIPAN — Saipan, Tinian and Rota will see partly cloudy skies with isolated showers Sunday, a high around 87 degrees and east winds of 10 to 15 mph, the National Weather Service in Tiyan, Guam said in its 6 a.m. forecast. The chance of showers is 20 percent.

The same quiet pattern holds overnight and into the new week, with partly cloudy skies, isolated showers, lows near 79 degrees and highs near 87 from Monday through Tuesday. Forecasters said the outlook from Tuesday night through Saturday calls for highs in the upper 80s, lows in the upper 70s and a 20 percent chance of showers.

Tropical Storm Jangmi, designated 06W, remains far to the west and poses no threat to the Marianas. Gentle to moderate east winds will persist through Monday night before easing to light to gentle.

Marianas coastal waters out to 40 nautical miles will see east winds of 10 to 15 knots and seas of 3 to 5 feet through Monday, with winds easing to 5 to 10 knots by Tuesday.
