SAIPAN – Saipan Mayor Ramon “RB” Camacho’s office is open today on a shortened Sunday schedule to issue Certification of Physical Address letters needed for Super Typhoon Sinlaku survivors applying to the S.T.R.O.N.G. Tent and Roofing Program.
The office at 2799 Teer Drive in Susupe will operate from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday only.
Verified address letters are required as part of the application process for the STRONG Tent and Roofing Mission, which provides temporary tents and, on Saipan and Tinian, temporary roofs to homeowners while permanent repairs are underway. The program is provided at no cost and is coordinated by the CNMI government, the Saipan, Tinian and Rota Mayors’ Offices, CNMI Homeland Security and Emergency Management, the Federal Emergency Management Agency, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, and the U.S. Department of War.
The deadline to apply for the STRONG Program is 5 p.m. Monday, June 1, 2026, eight days from Sunday.
The Mayor’s Office asked residents who have already submitted an application not to come in for an in-person follow-up. Staff will contact applicants directly, the office said.
For more information, residents may call the Saipan Mayor’s Office at 670-234-6208 or visit saipanmayor.cnmi.gov.
Tinian and Rota residents seeking the STRONG Program should contact their respective Mayors’ Offices: Tinian at 670-433-1802 or 670-433-1828, and Rota at 670-532-9451 or 670-532-9452. Rota residents are eligible for tents only; temporary roofs are available on Saipan and Tinian.
