Mass of Christian Burial Set May 30 for Edward “Ed/Eddie” Hocog Manglona

SAIPAN – The family of Edward “Ed/Eddie” Hocog Manglona has announced the Mass of Christian Burial for Saturday, May 30 at 9 a.m. at Kristo Rai Church.

Manglona was born on August 2, 1953 and was called to eternal life on April 13, 2026, the family said.

The funeral procession will begin at 6 a.m. on May 30 with an escort from the Commonwealth Healthcare Corp. to Kristo Rai Church. The Responso service will begin at 6:20 a.m., followed by the recital of the Holy Rosary. Last respects and viewing will begin immediately after the rosary.

Manglona is preceded in death by his parents Vicente Atalig Manglona and Florencia Songao Hocog, his sister Evalina Manglona Mendiola, his brother-in-law Brian Mendiola and his loving partner Teresita “Terry” Jones Attao.

He is survived by his children and their families: Lisa Ann Ooka Manglona and Anthony C. Benavente with their children Anthony Michael and Lindsey, Jacob Matthew, Zachary Vincent and Madelyn Grace; Donna Jean Ooka Manglona and Daniel J. Kinsella with their children Devin Joseph and Gabby, Danielle Jade and Dreya Jenae; Terence James Ooka Manglona and Almadine Taitano Manglona with their children Christian Isaiah, Aleina Mae, Aviana Juliet and Aylarose Gianina; and Jennifer Lynn Ooka Manglona and Carl Joseph Alvarez with their children Brandon Dylan, Ariyana Yasmine, Coah Joseph and Cainan Joshua.

He is also survived by his loving partner’s children and their families: John Paul Jones Attao and Girlie Attao with their children Marc and Nikki; David Jones Attao and Magdalena P. Attao with their children Alyssa and Kyle; Michael Jones Attao and Rhoda Farell Attao with their children Therese, Talisala and Maximo; Marie Jones Attao and Mark Villagomez with their children Lilliana and Tyson; and Maximo Jones Attao Jr. and Jaylynn Attao with their children Leilani, Alinda and Juliana.

His siblings include Diane Manglona and Antonio O. Quitugua and their children, and Glenn H. Manglona and Merced M. Sablan and their children.

Ed will also be missed by his loyal pets Coco, Cosmo and Chief, and his grand pets Doug, Oliver, Archer, Mika, Bear, Piper, Tucker, Apollo and Nala.

He will be deeply missed by his extended family, including aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, godchildren and friends, especially members of the Amigos Golf Club.
