CHCC Mobile Clinics Hit 730 Sinlaku Visits; Illnesses Top the List

SAIPAN — Commonwealth Healthcare Corporation mobile medical clinics have delivered 730 visits in the wake of Super Typhoon Sinlaku, with illnesses making up the largest share of care provided, the agency said in an update released Monday.

Through May 4, mobile clinic teams logged 400 illness-related encounters, 254 for chronic disease management, 238 prescriptions filled and 62 injury cases. Behavioral health and mental health services accounted for 16 encounters.

Individual visits often involve more than one category of care, the agency’s tally indicates, with the combined service total exceeding the visit count.

CHCC said the mobile clinics are operating in coordination with disaster response partners Samaritan’s Purse and Team Rubicon, both of which have deployed teams to the Commonwealth as part of the Sinlaku response.

“Our teams are committed to bringing quality care to our community,” CHCC said in the update.
