SAIPAN — The Commonwealth Utilities Corporation reported late Friday night that primary lines on Feeder 1, Kiya 3 and portions of Kiya 4 came online starting at 1:30 p.m. Friday, restoring electricity to customers and buildings along the main line for the first time since Super Typhoon Sinlaku struck on April 13.
Feeder 1 covers the corridor from Lower Base to Sugar King Park, including Lower Miha, Lower Navy Hill and parts of Garapan from the Bank of Guam to Paseo de Marianas. Kiya 3 extends from Sugar King Park to Quartermaster and IT&E. Portions of Kiya 4 were also energized, covering the Haraguchi Building to the former Atkins Kroll location along Beach Road.
CUC said more updates will follow as restoration work continues. For more information, contact CUC at (670) 664-4282 or visit cucgov.org.
