93W Triggers Formation Alert in Central FSM; No Direct Threat to Marianas
SAIPAN — A tropical disturbance designated Invest 93W has been placed under a Tropical Cyclone Formation Alert by the National Weather Service Guam, but does not pose a direct threat to the Marianas, the agency said in its weekly Regional Weather Outlook issued Tuesday afternoon.
HSEM Begins MRE, Water Distribution Wednesday in Koblerville
SAIPAN — The CNMI Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Management, working with nonprofit partners, will begin distributing Meals Ready-to-Eat and drinking water on Wednesday, with door-to-door delivery and a community point of distribution at the Koblerville Youth Center, the agency said.
