SAIPAN — A U.S. Army Corps of Engineers officer praised the recovery work underway across the Marianas during a recent visit to Saipan and Tinian, pointing to the progress made by federal, state and local partners.
1st Lt. Ethan Storie, aide-de-camp to the USACE Pacific Ocean Division commander, Brig. Gen. Joseph Goetz, said it was a privilege to see the effort firsthand. Storie said he is originally from Guam.
“It’s such a privilege to come here to Saipan and Tinian and get to see all the great work being done by our federal, state, and local partners with USACE, and really exciting to see all of the progress that’s being made,” Storie said. “Thanks so much to everyone.”
The visit comes as the Army Corps continues to support recovery operations across the Commonwealth following Super Typhoon Sinlaku.
