Guam will send its first-ever delegation to the 2025 World Indigenous Traditional Games, scheduled for Dec. 6–13, 2025 in Kaohsiung, Taiwan, according to a release issued Nov. 28 by the Department of Chamorro Affairs (DCA). The DCA said a 27-member delegation will represent Guam, with the effort organized in conjunction with Taiwan’s Council of Indigenous Peoples and supported by the Guam Visitors Bureau (GVB).

SAIPAN – This is from the National Weather Service Guam’s weekly regional weather update issued Tuesday: easterly trade winds have taken hold across the region. For the Marianas, the surface trough and upper low that drove recent downpours shifted west, but a moist E–SE flow will keep patchy showers and a slight chance of thunder through the week; a disturbance passing to the south this weekend could nudge more clouds and showers toward Guam. No tropical cyclone development is indicated. Regional seas are near 5–7 ft in the Marianas and central/eastern Micronesia and 3–5 ft near Yap and Palau, with northerly swell easing as trade-wind swell builds. A Small Craft Advisory is posted for Majuro, and severe drought persists at Kapingamarangi.
